In the bustling aura of the Sundance Lounge, circa 1982, right across from the Bay Pines hospital VA, a peculiar sight caught the attention of passersby - a towering Jack Daniel's billboard. Ole Jack, the iconic figure, was waving cheerfully to the public with one hand, while holding a 4ft Dick in the other hand. The unusual yet captivating display became a temporary landmark on the way to the beach, intriguing all who crossed its path for two full weeks.

The Unconventional Setup

The scene was nothing short of intriguing - a mix of creativity, camaraderie, and a touch of daring. Picture this: a step ladder strategically positioned, and atop it stood an individual named Kraut, meticulously working on securing the oversized Dick as part of Jack Daniel's quirky advertisement. A Brother Jeff, providing support in an unconventional yet effective way, held Kraut's ass firmly to keep him from falling off the ladder to instant death.

The collaboration between these individuals resulted in a spectacle that would remain etched in the memories of many for years to come. As the giant Dick found its place on the billboard, it stood as a testament to creativity and a slightly unconventional approach to advertising for everyone on their way to the beach or locally too, supplying loads and loads of fun for all.

A Hot Beef Injection

During this time, it became a point of interest for the locals and visitors alike. Whether you were a regular at the Sundance Lounge or a passerby heading to the beach, it was a piece of pop culture that demanded attention and sparked conversations. Unfortunately, it was eventually discovered by the ATF and taken down with poor Ole Jack never getting a happy ending.
